3 Ways to Wear a Berry Lip This Fall

Berry hued lipstick stains on the edge of my coffee cup. How romantic is that image? With Fall just around the corner, I’ve been thinking about just how vast the berry lip trend has spread. There are dozens of options, making a trend that can suit anyone and any occasion.

So I’ve been testing out a few berry lip options from some of my favorites. Pixi, Korres and Tarte. I love these three because they always seem to do beauty genuinely and that works in favor of wearing a berry lip because the dark hue can be a bit intimidating.

Shear and Natural

My number one go to for everyday is the Korres Wild Rose Lip Butter. It’s shear and moisturizing formula makes it one of the most wearable berry lip options. Although it is shear, it definitely packs a punch in color which is one of the things I like so much about it. Reapplying it is as easy as an autumn leaf falling from its tree. Often times I don’t even use a mirror.

Berries and Cream

Pixi does a great creamy formula lipstick with great pigmentation. It’s called Mattelustre Lipstick in Plum Berry. It’s creamy formula makes it very comfortable and easy to wear but miraculously borders the matte side of lipstick finishes and does not look “too glossy” on the lips. It’s also perfect for everyday but requires a bit more finesse with the reapplication.

Bold Berry

The last one here is the Tartelist Lip Paint in the shade Frenemy. This is the boldest option and it’s stay-put matte formula definitely requires commitment. But it is a very fun shade to wear especially for busy fall festivities like pumpkin picking, apple bobbing, etc. because this lip paint will not budge so reapplying it isn’t even in the picture.
