There’s nothing quite like the tell-tale signs of Summer, especially healthy glowy skin. I love a healthy glowy skin year round obviously but there is something so ‘summer-y’ about radiant skin and minimal make-up. I have recently tried out a few good-for-Summer (cruelty-free!) make-up pieces that fit perfectly into my Summer routine.
I almost always grab a copper toned shimmery eyeshadow but I think that this one in the color, Dayclub by NYX is the perfect faint wash of color over the eyelids for a golden sun-kissed look. The formula is very pigmented and soft which makes it easy to apply.
As for my base I have been combining both the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free All-in-1 ABC Cushion Foundation with SPF 50 and a bit of the Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer. Both give a sheer to medium coverage but are packed with SPF making them great for a day in the sun. The cushion foundation is wonderful. It gives a very glowy, almost dewy, look but it lasts all day. Really loving this; it’s always good to find cruelty-free alternatives.
This mascara is my one and only. It’s waterproof, non clumping, lengthening formula is everything I ever needed. It has one of those silicone wands that makes it easy to apply without getting mascara all over my eyes and ruining my eyeshadow.
I apply a bit of the matte bronzer in the Physicians Formula Summer Eclipse Bronzing and Shimmery Face Powder as a contour around my face and then go back in with the shimmery shade as a cheekbone highlight. The formula is great and has microscopic glitter that goes on very naturally without looking like you’ve got glitter all over your face. My bone structure has never looked this good.
I’ve only started using Pixi this year but I am seriously in love with this brand. The Pixi Sheer Cheek Jelly in the color Natural adds a sheer flush of color to the cheeks that lasts all day long. I really goes on sheer but is build-able and very easy to work with. I just add a touch and dab it into my cheeks.
Tell me! What are your go to Summer make-up bits for a glowy and radiant skin?
