A Spring Cruelty-Free Makeup Look Feat. Jane Iredale Cosmetics

If you haven’t gotten the memo yet: I am an advocate for using cruelty-free and/ or vegan products in any beauty regimen and to be able to share my favorite brands that are cruelty-free and/or vegan is a big plus for me. I was introduced to Jane Iredale Cosmetics when I was a teenager by my mom. My mom has spent the majority of her career working with cosmetic based brands. Thankfully, most of them are cruelty-free and/or vegan.

Jane Iredale is a really great brand that I love for numerous reasons. To list a few:

  • Cruelty-free
  • Mineral Makeup
  • Sun Protection
  • Skin care benefits
  • Non comedogenic
  • Natural preservatives
  • Long-lasting coverage

This list could go on and on but I’ll leave it at that.

I created this spring inspired makeup look using the Color Sample Kit. This palette specifically comes in three different shades but the individualized products come in a much wider range of colors.  They all come with PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation with SPF 20, PurePressed Blush, and Enlighten Concealer, three PurePressed Eyeshadows and two lip options. I must say that the concealer is probably the best part of the kit. It has a creamy formula that glides on and stays put. It is very brightening which makes it perfect for under the eyes but it also works great as a highlighter on top of the cheek bones, down the nose, etc. My palette has a lot of pink tones which makes it great for a freshened up spring makeup look compared to the usual browns that I gravitate towards. The packaging also resembles a box of chocolates which is amazing. I prefer not to use lip colors in palette format because I can’t carry them with me all day so I topped this look off with a Too Faced La Crème in Naked Dolly and it’s also cruelty-free.
